Vision and
purpose
Why does St
Mary's exist?
To worship God and share in the community
Jesus’ love and message of hope
Values
Prayerful.
Prayer is the core foundation of the church as it strengthens and
unifies our relationship with God and with each other. So we need to be
a prayerful church.
Accepting.
Our acceptance must be seen in our Christ-likeness in welcoming, and
responding without judgment to, all people.
Caring.
In obedience to Jesus' command to love one another we reach out in love
to everyone the Spirit puts in our path.
Truthful. Jesus is God's truth
and we must aim to live our lives in the light of that truth, and draw
others into it.
Mission

As we continue
to work together both to discern, and to follow, God's vision for us (we
must not forget that God continues to call us to move onwards) we will
need to assess, and reassess, what is the particular part for each of
us, individually, to play.
